A RESOLUTION authorizing the County Executive to execute a cost-share agreement with the Kansas City Area Transportation Authority's Regional Wayfinding and Branding Plan, a planning sustainable places project, as a partner with the Mid-America Regional Council and fifteen other local governments, at an actual cost to the County in the amount of $3,000.00.

Body
WHEREAS, by Resolution 19868, dated May 21, 2018, the Legislature did authorize the County Executive to issue a letter of support for the Kansas City Area Transportation Authority's (KCATA) Regional Wayfinding and Branding Plan; and,
WHEREAS, this plan proposes to provide conceptual planning, wayfinding guidelines, and specifications to create a unified regional bikeway network; and,
WHEREAS, the plan will focus on navigational improvements between key destinations, such as activity centers, mobility hubs, and state and national bikeway systems; and,
WHEREAS, a partnership of local governments led by the KCATA, with the support of the Mid-America Regional Council (MARC), will convene to develop this plan; and,
WHEREAS, the attached Agreement provides a suitable mechanism by which to implement the County's participation in the plan, at a cost the County in the amount of $3,000.00; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive be and hereby is authorized to execute the attached agreement for the County's participation in the Regional Wayfinding and Branding Plan, led by MARC and the KCATA; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance and Purchasing be and hereby is authorized to make all payments including final payment on the Agreement.
