AN ORDINANCE appropriating $5,036.00 from the undesignated fund balance of the 2019 Park Fund in acceptance of insurance proceeds for the repair of damage to park vehicles for use by the Parks + Rec Department.

Body
WHEREAS, the County has received a payment from Geico Secure Insurance Company, representing the value of a park ranger vehicle declared a total loss as a result of a vehicle collision that occurred on February 6, 2019; and,
WHEREAS, the County has received a payment from Missouri Public Entity Risk Management (MOPERM), representing the cost of repairs to a fleet truck operated by the Parks + Rec Department that was damaged due to a collision with a deer that occurred on April 2, 2019; and,
WHEREAS, an appropriation is necessary to place the insurance proceeds in the proper spending account so that the funds may be used toward the repair of the damage and purchase of a replacement vehicle; now therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following appropriation from the undesignated fund balance of the 2019 Park Fund be and hereby is made:
