AN ORDINANCE appropriating $107,010.00 from the undesignated fund balance of the 2019 Grant Fund in acceptance of the Missouri Western Interdiction and Narcotics Task Force grant awarded by the Missouri Department of Public Safety, and authorizing the County Executive to execute an agreement with the MOWIN Task Force.

Body
WHEREAS, the Sheriff’s Office has been awarded the Missouri Western Interdiction and Narcotics Task Force (MoWIN) grant in the amount of $107,009.86 by the Missouri Department of Public Safety; and,
WHEREAS, this grant funds the vehicle allowance and salaries for two deputies assigned to the Multi-Jurisdictional Drug Task Force; and,
WHEREAS, an appropriation are necessary in order to place the grant funds in the proper spending accounts; and,
WHEREAS, the County Executive recommends said appropriation; now therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following appropriation from the undesignated fund balance of the 2019 Grant Fund be and hereby is made:
