BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, as follows:

Section A. Enacting Clause. New section 9304., Jackson County Code, 1984, is hereby enacted, to read as follows, with existing subsequent subsections in chapter 93 to be renumbered according:

9304. Use of Proceeds, Restriction.
The expenditure of anti-crime sales tax funds to purchase, improve, refurbish, or repair land, buildings, or capital equipment, including land, buildings, or capital equipment owned by Jackson County or any other governmental entity must be specifically authorized in the County's annual budget. No such funds may be appropriated for these purposes outside of the County's annual budget process.




Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Ordinance shall be effective immediately upon its signature by the County Executive.
