ORDINANCE NO. 5183, November 27, 2018

 

 

Body

 BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri as follows:

 

Section 1.  Pursuant to the United Development Code of Jackson County, section 24003.24, Jackson County Code, 1984, a certain unnamed, unimproved right-of-way lying north of Langsford Road, is hereby vacated, said tract being specifically described as follows:

 

Description:  A TRACT OF LAND IN THE EAST 1/2 OF THE NORTHWEST 1/4 OF SECTION 1, TOWNSHIP 47 NORTH, RANGE 30 WEST IN JACKSON COUNTY, MISSOURI,  DESCRIBED AS FOLLOWS:  BEGINNING AT A POINT ON THE NORTH RIGHT OF WAY LINE OF LANGSFORD ROAD, AS NOW ESTABLISHED, SAID POINT BEING THE SOUTHEAST CORNER OF LOT 11, SUBURBAN ESTATES LOTS 8 THRU 12 INCLUSIVE, A SUBDIVISION IN SAID COUNTY AND STATE; THENCE NORTH 0°-32’-18” EAST (PLAT=NORTH 0°-32’ EAST) ALONG THE EAST LINE OF SAID LOT 11, A DISTANCE OF 365.36 FEET TO THE NORTHEAST CORNER THEREOF AND THE NORTHWEST CORNER OF SUBURBAN ESTATES REPLAT OF LOT 12, A SUBDIVISION IN SAID COUNTY AND STATE; THENCE SOUTH 89°-01’-00” EAST  ALONG THE NORTH LINE OF SAID SUBURBAN ESTATES REPLAT OF LOT 12, A DISTANCE OF 50.00 FEET TO THE NORTHWEST CORNER OF LOT 12, SUBURBAN ESTATES REPLAT OF LOT 12; THENCE SOUTH 0°-32’-18” WEST (PLAT=SOUTH 0°-32’ WEST) ALONG THE WEST LINE OF SAID LOT 12, A DISTANCE OF365.16 FEET TO THE SOUTHWEST CORNER THEREOF; THENCE NORTH 89°-15’-00” WEST ALONG SAID NORTH RIGHT OF WAY LINE, A DISTANCE OF 50.00 FEET TO THE POINT OF BEGINNING.

 

THE ABOVE DESCRIBED TRACT OF LAND CONTAINS 18,262 SQUARE FEET OR 0.419 ACRES, MORE OR LESS.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Section 2.  The Legislature, pursuant to the application of Richard N McCracken (LA-2013-036), requesting the vacation embodied in this Ordinance and with notice that the Jackson County Plan Commission voted 3 to 4 to recommend DISAPPROVAL of this application at a public hearing on November 15, 2018, does adopt this Ordinance pursuant to the Jackson County Charter authorizing the Legislature to exercise legislative power pertaining to planning and zoning.

Enacted and Approved

Effective Date:  This Ordinance shall be effective immediately upon its signature by the County Executive.
