A RESOLUTION declaring certain vehicles and equipment within various County departments as surplus and unusable personal property and authorizing its disposal.

RESOLUTION NO. 20057, November 27, 2018

 

INTRODUCED BY Alfred Jordan, County Legislator

 

 

Body

 WHEREAS, various County departments are in possession of miscellaneous equipment and vehicles that are no longer functional and/or can no longer be used for their intended purposes, further described and itemized in the attached declaration forms; and, 

 

WHEREAS, the Director of Finance and Purchasing recommends that said property be declared surplus; and,

 

WHEREAS, the Jackson County Drug Task Force has recommended the transfer of the specified 1998 Ford Crown Victoria to the City of Sugar Creek Police Department; and,

 

WHEREAS, the Sheriff has recommended the transfer of the 2010 Dodge Charger to the Fort Osage School District; now therefore,

 

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the property within the various County departments further described and itemized in the attached declaration forms, be and hereby is declared surplus, and that the Department of Finance and Purchasing be and hereby is authorized the transfer of it as indicated and as provided for in Chapter 11, Jackson County Code, 1984.

 

 

Enacted and Approved

Effective Date:  This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
