Body
WHEREAS, the County has a need for printing services for use by various County departments; and,
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance and Purchasing solicited formal written bids for printing services under Invitation to Bid No. 36-18; and,
WHEREAS, a total of thirty-six notifications were distributed and two responses were received and evaluated, while a third bid was rejected for not meeting specifications; and,
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance and Purchasing recommends a spilt award to Almar Printing, Inc., of Kansas City (Jackson County), MO, and KC Blue Print and Planroom of North Kansas City, MO, as the lowest and best overall bids received; and,
WHEREAS, the spilt award is being recommended due to the different in cost breaks for different quantities among the bidders and to enable the using departments to take advantage of the cost breaks; and,
WHEREAS, pursuant to 1054.6 of the Jackson County Code, the Director of Finance and Purchasing recommends the award of twenty-four month term and supply contracts with three twelve-month options to extend, for the furnishing of printing letterhead, envelopes, business cards, and other printed material, to Service Printing and Graphics for use by various County departments under the terms and conditions of Invitation to Bid 36-18 to Almar Printing, Inc., of Kansas City (Jackson County),MO, and KC Blueprint and Planroom of North Kansas C...
