Body
WHEREAS, the Parks + Rec Department has a need for a trash truck with an eight-yard rear loader bed, barrel tipper, and light panel, to replace a truck currently in service that is outdated and has exceeded its useful life; and,

WHEREAS, a total of twenty-two notifications were distributed and three responses received and evaluated as follows:

Grandview (Jackson County), MO

Armor Equip. No Bid
Arnold, MO

Truck Component Services $115,140.00
Strafford, MO

WHEREAS, pursuant to section 1054.6 of the Jackson County Code, the Director of Finance and Purchasing recommends the award of a contract for the furnishing of a trash truck with eight-yard rear loader bed, barrel tipper, and light panel for use by Parks + Rec to Elliott Company of Grandview (Jackson County), MO, as the lowest and best bid under the terms and conditions of Invitation to Bid 35-18; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that award be made as recommended by the Director of Finance and Purchasing and that the Director be and hereby is authorized to execute any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the award; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Finance and Purchasing be and hereby is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract thereby made.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
