Body
WHEREAS, in 2007, the County and the City of Kansas City entered into a Cooperative agreement for Park Improvements for the Blue River Parkway; and,

WHEREAS, this mutually beneficial agreement has resulted in the addition of 2.2 miles of recreational trail constructed in the Blue River Parkway that connects to the popular Indian Creek Trail system; and,

WHEREAS, the original agreement only covered the Blue River Parkway property between Bannister Road and Red Bridge Road; and,

WHEREAS, the Parks + Rec Department requests the approval of the attached First Amendment to the Cooperative Agreement with the City of Kansas City to include the entire Blue River Parkway property; now therefore,


BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri that the County Executive be and hereby is authorized to execute the attached First Amendment to the Cooperative Agreement with the City of Kansas City, MO, on behalf of the County.

Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
