Body
WHEREAS, the Medical Examiner's Office requires forensic toxicology services to assist with the determination of the cause and manner of death in cases it handles; and,

WHEREAS, the Director of Finance and Purchasing has solicited proposals under the terms and conditions of Request for Proposals No. 27-18 for the furnishing of forensic toxicology services; and,

WHEREAS, a total of ten notifications were distributed and four responses were received from the following:

WHEREAS, the Director of Finance and Purchasing recommends the award of a twenty-four month term and supply contract with two twelve-month options to extend to Axis Forensic Toxicology of Indianapolis, IN, as the lowest and best bid as set forth under the terms and conditions of Request for Proposal No. 27-18, as set forth in the attached recapitulation and analysis; and,

WHEREAS, this award is made on an as needed basis and does not obligate the County to pay any specific amount; now therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made as recommended by the Director of Finance and Purchasing, and that the Director be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishme...
