AN ORDINANCE appropriating $199,996.00 from the undesignated fund balance of the 2018 Special Road and Bridge Fund and authorizing the County Executive to execute Change Order No. 2 to the 2018 Pavement Maintenance Phase -1 Asphalt Overlay contract with Superior Bowen Asphalt Company, to complete the improvements to Ponca Drive and Slaughter Road, at a cost to the County not to exceed $199,996.00.

Body
WHEREAS, by Resolution 19804, dated April 2, 2018, the Legislature did award a contract to Superior Bowen Asphalt Company for the 2018 Pavement Maintenance Project, No. 3223; and,
WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works now recommends Change Order No. 2 to the Agreement with Superior Bowen to complete improvements to Ponca Drive and Slaughter Road, at an additional cost to not exceed $199,996.00; and,
WHEREAS, an appropriation is necessary to place the Funds needed to complete these improvements in the appropriate spending account; now therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following appropriation from the undesignated fund balance of the 2018 Special Road and Bridge Fund be and hereby is made:

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Finance and Purchasing is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract.
