A RESOLUTION awarding a twenty-four month lease for the furnishing of three specialty vehicles for use by the Sheriff's Office to Marple Leasing of Broomall, PA, at an actual cost to the County in 2018, in the amount of $12,015.00 as a sole source.

Body
WHEREAS, the Sheriff's Office has a need for leased vehicles for use in covert operations; and,
WHEREAS, the Department of Finance and Purchasing recommends the award of a twenty-four month lease for the furnishing of these vehicles to Marple Leasing of Broomall, PA; and,
WHEREAS, the Department of Finance and Purchasing recommends award under section 1030.1, Jackson County Code, 1984, for the reason that Marple Leasing is the sole vendor the Sherriff's Office and Finance and Purchasing Department have identified that can meet the Sheriff's needs for security and confidentiality in its operations; and,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made under the as recommended by the Department of Finance and Purchasing and that the Department of Finance and Purchasing be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary for the accomplishment of the award; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Department of Finance and Purchasing is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the leases, to the extent that sufficient appropriations to the using spending agency are contained in the then current Jackson County budget.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
