RESOLUTION NO. 19801, March 26, 2018

INTRODUCED BY Dennis Waits, County Legislator

Body
WHEREAS, by Resolution 19023, dated December 1, 2015, the Legislature did authorize the execution of a Cooperative Agreement with the Kansas City Area Transportation Authority (KCATA) related to the acquisition of the Rock Island Rail Corridor (RIRC); and,

WHEREAS, section 3.3 of the Cooperative Agreement expressed the intent of both parties to negotiate and agree regarding the management and maintenance of the RIRC; and,

WHEREAS, the City of Lee's Summit desires to make certain improvements to Chipman Road along the Rock Island Corridor right of way, which necessitate the removal of the single lane arch railroad bridge over Chipman Road; and,
