Body
WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works has solicited formal written bids on Bid No. PW 04-2018 for the 2018 Bridge Sealing Project, Bridge Deck Sealing, No. 3222, for use by the Public Works Department; and,

WHEREAS, notifications were distributed through advertisement and online posting and four responses were received as follows:

Comanche Construction, Inc.
Olathe, KS $119,813.72

Vance Brothers
Kansas City (Jackson County), MO $196,356.20

MTS Contracting, Inc.
North Kansas City, MO $254,826.15

PCi Roads
St. Michael, MN $292,034.30

and,


WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works recommends that the contract be awarded to Comanche Construction, Inc., of Olathe, KS, for the reason that it has submitted the lowest and best bid; and,

WHEREAS, the County reserved the right to adjust the quantities up or down to any and all bids to accommodate available funds within the bid specifications; and,

WHEREAS, in the event that line item adjustments to the contract become necessary, it is appropriate that the Director of Public Works be authorized to approve said line item adjustments to the extent there is no additional cost to the County; now therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made as recommended by the Director of Public Works and that the County Executive be and hereby is authorized to execute any documents necessary to the accomplishment of...
