AN ORDINANCE amending the zoning districts established pursuant to the Unified Development Code by rezoning a certain 11.68 ± acre tract from District AG (Agricultural) to District RE (Residential Estates) for a three-lot residential subdivision.

Body

 BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri as follows:

 

Section 1.  The Zoning Order of Jackson County, Missouri, and the official maps which are a part thereof, are amended by changing the boundaries of the "AG" (Agricultural) District and the "RE" (Residential Estates) District, so that there will be transferred from District AG to District RE, a tract of land described as follows:

 

Description: The 11.68 ± acres are approximately part of the North half of the Northeast Quarter of the Southwest Quarter of Section 09, Township 47, Range 30, Jackson County, Missouri, described as follows: Beginning at the Southeast corner of Lot 1, Hatfield Estate, a subdivision in Jackson County, Missouri; thence North 01 degrees, 53 minutes, 15 seconds East, along the East line of said Lot 1, 605.05 feet to the centerline of Easley Road; thence South 88 degrees, 51 minutes, 57 seconds East along said centerline, 854.53 feet; thence South 01 degrees, 44 minutes, 32 seconds West along the West line of a tract of land conveyed in document no. 2000i0052250, 585.05 feet to a point on the South line of the North half of the Northeast Quarter of the Southwest Quarter of said Section 09; thence South 89 degrees, 47 minutes, 57 seconds West along said line, 856.51 feet to the point of beginning. Containing 217,945.00 Square Feet or 5.00 Acres more or less.

 

Section 2.  The Legislature, pursuant to the application of Leslie A Porter (RZ-2017-559), requesting the amendment embodied in this Ordinance and with notice that the Jackson County Plan Commission voted 5 to 0 to recommend APPROVAL of this application after a public hearing on February 15, 2018, does adopt this Ordinance pursuant to the Jackson County Charter authorizing the Legislature to exercise legislative power pertaining to planning and zoning.

 

Enacted and Approved

Effective Date:  This Ordinance shall be effective immediately upon its signature by the County Executive.
