Body
WHEREAS, the Executive staff recommends sponsorship of the Veterans Day Ceremony with the National WWI Museum to be held on November 11, 2017; and,
WHEREAS, for its sponsorship, Jackson County will be the presenting sponsor of free admission for Veterans as well as the County's logo on the ceremonial program, website, and signage at the event; and,
WHEREAS, said sponsorship is in the best interest of the health, safety, and welfare of the citizens of Jackson County; and,
WHEREAS, a transfer is needed to place the funds necessary for this sponsorship in the proper spending account; and,
WHEREAS, the County Executive recommends said transfer; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following transfer within the 2017 Park Enterprise Fund be and hereby is made:

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Director of Finance and Purchasing be and hereby is authorized to issue a check to the National WWI Museum, in the amount of $7,000.00 for sponsorship of the Veterans Day Event to be held November 11, 2017.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
