Body
WHEREAS, by Ordinance 5002, dated August 14, 2017, the Legislature did authorize the acceptance of funds for the Family Court Division's Juvenile Court Diversion Program grant, in the amount of $292,967.00; and,
WHEREAS, the State of Missouri Division of Youth Services has authorized additional funds for this grant in the amount of $150,000.00 and an amendment to the scope of services to include the Parenting with Love and Limits Project; and,
WHEREAS, the Parenting with Love and Limits Project will combine parent education and group therapy programs with individual coaching session for adolescents and their parents; and,
WHEREAS, the grant amendment does not require local matching funds; and,
WHEREAS, an appropriation is necessary to place the grant funds in the proper spending accounts; now therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following appropriation be made from the undesignated fund balance of the 2017 Grant Fund:
