Body
WHEREAS, the Drug Commission recommends the execution of a Cooperative Agreement with the Kansas City, Missouri Health Department's Violence Free KC Committee for the furnishing of a Peer Value Branding Project to address youth violence in key areas of Kansas City in Jackson County, at a cost to the County not to exceed $30,000.00; and,

WHEREAS, the Violence Free KC Project will provide anti-violence messaging through the execution of a strategic marketing plan to prevent or reduce youth violence in targeted neighborhoods; now therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive be, and hereby is, authorized to execute an agreement with the Kansas City, Missouri Health Department's Violence Free KC Committee in the amount of $30,000.00, in a form to be approved by the County Counselor; and,

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Finance and Purchasing be, and hereby is, authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the agreement.

Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
