Body
WHEREAS, the Parks + Rec Department desires to replace the roofs on several buildings within the department; and,
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance and Purchasing has solicited bids on Invitation to Bid No. 42-17 for the furnishing of this work; and,
WHEREAS, a total of eighty-one notifications were distributed and two responses were received from the following:
BIDDER
Construction Management
Olathe, KS
Redhammer Roof
Kansas City (Jackson County), MO
and,
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance and Purchasing recommends that the contract be awarded to Construction Management of Olathe, KS, under the terms and conditions of Invitation to Bid No. 42-17, as the lowest and best bidder, as set forth in the attached recapitulation and analysis; and,
WHEREAS, the Director of Parks + Rec recommends an additional $5,000.00 be encumbered as a contingency on the project; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made as recommended by the Director of Finance and Purchasing, and that the Director be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the award; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Finance and Purchasing is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
