Body
WHEREAS, Midwest Public Risk will be hosting the Homicide in America training conference August 28, 2017, featuring guest speaker Phil Chalmers, author of Inside the Mind of a Teen Killer; and,

WHEREAS, Midwest Public Risk has submitted a request to the COMBAT Administration for sponsorship of this event in the amount of $1,000.00; and,

WHEREAS, this sponsorship will allow Jackson County the opportunity to promote its anti-drug and anti-violent crime campaign; and,

WHEREAS, in exchange for its sponsorship, COMBAT will receive advertising and recognition in the event program and promotional materials; and,

WHEREAS, said sponsorship is in the best interest of the health, safety, and welfare of the citizens of Jackson County; now therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Director of Finance and Purchasing be and hereby is authorized to issue a check to Midwest Public Risk, in the amount of $1,000.00 in support of its training conference to be held August 28, 2017.



Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
