Body
WHEREAS, the COMBAT Drug Commission recommends a Cooperative Agreement with SALT Initiative, LLC, to provide Trauma Informed Care training to COMBAT funded agencies; and,

WHEREAS, Trauma Informed Care is an approach to engaging people with histories of trauma that recognizes the presence and role that trauma has played in their lives to assist them in finding a path to healing and wellness; and,

WHEREAS, SALT Initiative, LLC, of St. Louis, MO, provides consulting and training services focusing on mental health, substance abuse, and addiction issues; and,

WHEREAS, the execution of a Cooperative Agreement with SALT Initiative, LLC, for the furnishing of this training program is in the best interests of the health, safety, and welfare of the citizens of Jackson County; now therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive be and hereby is authorized to execute a Cooperative Agreement with the SALT Initiative, LLC in the amount of $3,750.00, in a form to be approved by the County Counselor; and,

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Finance and Purchasing be and hereby is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract.


Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
