Title
WHEREAS, by Resolution 19393, dated February 27, 2017, the Director of Finance and Purchasing solicited formal written bids on Request for Proposals (RFP) 59-16 for the lease of County park land for the planting and harvesting of hay and crops; and,
WHEREAS, certain parcels of land included in the RFP did not receive any responses and a contract for those tracts was not awarded at that time; and,
WHEREAS, recently Clint Hardee of Peculiar, MO, submitted a proposal related to an agricultural lease for some of the tracts not previously awarded; and,
WHEREAS, pursuant to section 1030.1 of the Jackson County Code, 1984, the Director of Finance and Purchasing recommends the award of an agricultural lease to Mr. Hardee as a sole source purchase as he is the only respondent who has expressed any interest in leasing these specific areas of park property; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made as recommended by the Director of Finance and Purchasing, and that the Director be and hereby is authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the award.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
