Body
WHEREAS, the Kansas City Metropolitan Crime Commission provides the TIPS Hotline program to law enforcement agencies in the Greater Kansas City area to provide an anonymous method for informants to report criminal acts; and,
WHEREAS, the Sheriff's Office desires to enter into a contract with the Kansas City Metropolitan Crime Commission to provide Crime Stoppers TIPS Hotline services in Jackson County, at a cost to the County not to exceed $5,000.00; and,
WHEREAS, this agreement is in the best interest of the health, welfare, and safety of the citizens of Jackson County; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive be and hereby is authorized to execute the attached agreement with the Kansas City Metropolitan Crime Commission to provide the Crime Stoppers TIPS Hotline program in Jackson County; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Finance and Purchasing be and hereby is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
