Body
WHEREAS, Lincoln College Preparatory Academy, a school in the Kansas City Public School District, has received the 2016 Grand Prize in the Entourage National Yearbook Contest, beating out over 800 competing schools; and,

WHEREAS, in addition to receiving the Grand Prize in the Entourage competition, the 2016 Lincolnian Yearbook also received from the Journalism Educators of Metropolitan Kansas City, First Place - Best New Member Photograph, Second Place - Computer Generated Art, Second Place - Theme, and the Staff Spirit Award; and,

WHEREAS, additionally, the Lincolnian Yearbook received a Gold Medalist Critique from the Columbia University Scholastic Press Association; and,

WHEREAS, Lincolnian faculty sponsors are Jennifer Raynor and Sharon Showalter and current staff members are Joceline Bautista, Ayana Belk, Yasmin Bernal, Talitha Castaneda, Kimberly Dang, Nina Garcia, Matthew Gear, Nathan Hewitt, Chanique Jerrells, Avery Jones, Elena Le, Silvia Lopez Mu?oz, Aliya Sharif Noor, Adrianna Schoonover, Jocelyne Torres, Frank Thong, Dulce Vasquez Almanza, and Bria Walters; and,

WHEREAS, Jennifer Raynor serves on Entourage's National Advisors Council and was also recognized as an Elite Advisor based on outstanding achievement in yearbook technology and design, staff organization, budget management, and continued growth of the yearbook program; and,

WHEREAS, many members of the yearbook staff attended the Scholastic Press Association Fall Conference in November 2016 where they visited Columbia, Princeton, and New York Universities and participated in several other sightseeing visits throughout the New York area; now therefore,
