Body
WHEREAS, by Resolution 17650, dated August 22, 2011, the Legislature did authorize the execution of a Cooperative Agreement with the City of Kansas City, Missouri, to provide for the extension of the Little Blue Trace Trail between Lee's Summit Road and Longview Lake; and,
WHEREAS, by Ordinance 4793, dated November 9, 2015, the Legislature did appropriate funds in the amount of $675,000.00 received from the City of Kansas City, Missouri, to cover the costs of its portion of the Little Blue Trace Trail Extension, Phase One, Project No. 3208; and,
WHEREAS, by Resolution 19329, dated December 5, 2016, the Legislature did award a contract on Bid No. PW 11-2016 for the Little Blue Trace Trail Extension, Phase One, Project No. 3208 to Pyramid Contractors, Inc., of Olathe, KS, at a cost to the County not to exceed $813,249.15, including a five percent contingency; and,
WHEREAS, the Director of Parks + Rec recommends Change Order No. 1 to the Agreement with Pyramid Contractors, Inc., to include additional drainage, grading, and paving for the project, increasing the contract amount by $261,134.00; and,
WHEREAS, this additional work will extend the project completion date from July 1, 2017, to August 31, 2017; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that Change Order No. 1 to the aforesaid contract be, and is hereby, approved, and the County Executive be, and is hereby authorized to execute said change order on behalf of the County; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Finance and Purchasing is authorized to make all payments,...
