Body
WHEREAS, Resolution 19434, dated March 27, 2017, now pending before the Legislature, will authorize agreements with the Metropolitan Organization to County Sexual Assault (MOCSA) and Westside Community Action Network (CAN), which are engaged in anti-drug and anti-violent crime prevention activities and purposes, at an aggregate cost to the County in the amount of $15,000.00; and,

WHEREAS, by Resolution 19008, dated November 23, 2015, the Legislature did authorize an agreement with the Peer Court of Southeast Jackson County at a cost to the County in the amount of $90,000.00, to provide an anti-drug and violent crime prevention program; and,

WHEREAS, by Resolution 19346, dated December 16, 2016, the Legislature did authorize an addendum to the agreement with the Peer Court of Southeast Jackson County, extending it to March 1, 2017, and increasing the contract by the amount of $5,000.00; and,

WHEREAS, additional funding has been identified within the Anti-Drug Sales Tax Fund for these agencies for anti-drug prevention activities and purposes; and,

WHEREAS, the following increases to these agreements are recommended:
MOCSA $20,000.00
Peer Court of Southeast Jackson County $60,000.00
Westside CAN $45,000.00
and,

WHEREAS, a transfer is necessary to place the additional funds in the appropriate spending account; and,

WHEREAS, the County Executive recommends this transfer; now therefore,
