AN ORDINANCE transferring $67,000.00 within the 2017 Park Fund and appropriating $347,000.00 from the undesignated fund balance of the 2017 Grant Fund in acceptance of the Federal Lands Access Program grant awarded by the Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission, and authorizing the County Executive to execute a Program Agreement with the Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission for the expenditure of grant funds.

Body
WHEREAS, by Resolution 19374, dated February 6, 2017, the Legislature authorized the execution of a Memorandum of Agreement with the Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission for the Federal Lands Access Program (FLAP) Project; and,
WHEREAS, the FLAP Project will provide funds in the amount of $280,000.00, for the repair/overlay of 3.3 miles of roadway within the Longview Lake Park campground; and,
WHEREAS, this grant requires matching funds in the amount of $67,000.00 to cover the unfunded portions of the program; and,
WHEREAS, an appropriation and transfer are necessary in order to place the grant and matching funds in the proper spending accounts; and,
WHEREAS, the County Executive recommends said transfer and appropriation; now therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following transfer within the 2017 Park Fund and appropriation from the undesignated fund balance of the 2017 Grant Fund be and hereby are made:
