Body
WHEREAS, Logan Douglas Dahmer of Lee's Summit, Missouri, has successfully completed all requirements to attain Scouting's highest honor, the rank of Eagle Scout; and,
WHEREAS, only approximately five percent of all Boy Scouts achieve the rank of Eagle Scout; and,
WHEREAS, earning the rank of Eagle Scout is an important milestone which carries special significance not only in Scouting, but also throughout a young man's pursuit of higher education, business ventures, or community service; and,
WHEREAS, Logan, a member of Scout Troop 323, Heart of America Council, Thunderbird District, was presented with his Eagle Scout badge at the Eagle Court of Honor held November 13, 2016, at the First Presbyterian Church in Lee's Summit; and,
WHEREAS, Logan has been a Scout for twelve years and has served as Chaplain Aide, Den Chief, and Patrol Leader; and,
WHEREAS, Logan received the World Conservation Award in 2016 and is a Warrior in the Tribe of Mic-O-Say; and,
WHEREAS, for his Eagle Scout Project, Logan installed drain tile and landscaping around the youth houses at Colonial Presbyterian Church; and,
WHEREAS, Logan is a senior at Lee's Summit West where he enjoys golf and is a member of DECA and the A+ Program, and, in 2016, was the Homecoming King; and,
WHEREAS, Logan's proud parents, Doug and Carrie Dahmer, join in his celebration of this honor; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Legislature hereby congratulates Logan Douglas Dahmer upon successfully complet...
