Body
WHEREAS, by Ordinance 4930, dated November 7, 2016, the Legislature did authorize the acceptance of a grant from the Federal Emergency Management Agency for the furnishing of an emergency storm warning siren for installation at Landahl Park; and,

WHEREAS, the Director of Emergency Management recommends the execution of a Cooperative Agreement with the Central Jackson County Fire Protection District ("the District") related to the maintenance and operation of said storm warning siren; and,

WHEREAS, the attached Cooperative Agreement with the District sets out the right and responsibilities of each entity related to this storm warning siren; and,

WHEREAS, the execution of the attached Cooperative Agreement is in the best interests of the health, safety, and welfare of the citizens of Jackson County; now therefore,


BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive be and hereby is authorized to execute the attached Cooperative Agreement with the Central Jackson County Fire Protection District, at no cost to the County.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
