Body
WHEREAS, by Request for Proposals (RFP) No. 69-16, the Director of Finance and Purchasing did solicit the submission of proposals from firms interested in providing auditing services to the Finance and Purchasing Department; and,
WHEREAS, the Director distributed twelve notifications and received six responses to the RFP, with the three best proposals as follows:

and,
WHEREAS, the proposals submitted were evaluated on the basis of responsiveness to the scope of services, experience, pricing, and references; and,
WHEREAS, following evaluation of the proposals, the Director of Finance and Purchasing has recommended the award of a twelve-month contract with three twelve-month options to extend for these services to be made pursuant to section 1054.6 of the Jackson County Code, 1984, to ---BKD, LLP, at a cost to the County for 2017 not to exceed $125,000.00, and at a four-year cost to the County not to exceed $525,800.00, with future years' funding subject to annual appropriation; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive be and hereby is authorized to execute for the County an Agreement with BKD, LLP, in a form to be approved by the County Counselor; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Finance and Purchasing be and hereby is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract and extensions thereto.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
