AN ORDINANCE amending the zoning districts established pursuant to the Unified Development Code by changing a certain 4.2 ± acre tract from District AG (Agricultural) to District RE (Residential Estates).

ORDINANCE NO. 4940, November 28, 2016

 

 

Body

 BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri as follows:

 

Section 1.  The Zoning Order of Jackson County, Missouri, and the official maps which are a part thereof, are amended by changing the boundaries of the "AG" (Agricultural) District and the "RE" (Residential Estate) District, so that there will be transferred from District AG to District RE, a tract of land commonly known as 29501 E. Litchford Road, Grain Valley, MO, specifically described as follows:

 

Description:    All that part of the Southwest Quarter of Section 21, Township 48 North, Range 30 West, of the Fifth Principal Meridian, all being situated in Jackson County, Missouri and being more particularly described as follows:

 

Commencing at the Southwest corner of the Southwest Quarter of Section 21, Township 48 North, Range 30 West, being a found #5-pin & cap (PLS-196F), per Certified Land Corner Document number 600-50533; thence North 02° 01’ 03” East along the West line of said Quarter, a distance of 1731.27 feet to a found #4-pin & cap (PLS-1287); thence South 88° 42’ 20” East, a distance of 477.03 feet; thence South 88° 03‘ 40” East, a distance of 32.00 feet to the Point of Beginning; thence North 01° 56’ 20” East, a distance of 915.07 feet to a point on the North line of the Southwest Quarter; thence South 88° 44’ 25” East along said North line, a distance of 200.01 feet; thence South 01° 56’ 20” West, a distance of 917.44 feet; thence North 88° 03’ 40” West, a distance of 200.00 to the Point of Beginning.

 

 

 

 

Section 2.  The Legislature, pursuant to the application of the Harvey Sommers (RZ-2016-542), requesting the amendment embodied in this Ordinance and with notice that the Jackson County Plan Commission voted 7 to 0 to recommend APPROVAL of this application after a public hearing on November 17, 2016, does adopt this Ordinance pursuant to the Jackson County Charter authorizing the Legislature to exercise legislative power pertaining to planning and zoning.

 

Enacted and Approved

Effective Date:  This Ordinance shall be effective immediately upon its signature by the County Executive.
