Body
WHEREAS, by Resolution 19170, dated June 6, 2016, the Legislature did authorize the execution of an Agreement with the OK Program of Kansas City, MO, for the furnishing of anti-drug prevention activities and purposes, for the period July 1, 2016, through December 31, 2016, at a cost to the County in the amount of $16,000.00; and,
WHEREAS, the COMBAT staff has recommended that the County Executive be authorized to extend the Agreement with the OK Program for an additional six months, through June 30, 2017, at no additional cost to the County; and,
WHEREAS, the recommended extension will allow this agency to utilize the allocation provided to it in 2016; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive be and hereby is authorized to execute an extension to the Agreement with the OK Program, until June 30, 2017, in a form to be approved by the County Counselor; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Finance and Purchasing be and hereby is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the agreements.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
