Body
WHEREAS, the Director of Human Resources has undertaken a thorough review of certain job classifications for licensed attorneys-at-law in the Office of the Prosecuting Attorney and County Counselor; and,
WHEREAS, the Director has examined salaries in the corresponding legal offices in Johnson County, Kansas, St. Louis, and Greene Counties, Missouri, and the Cities of Overland Park, Kansas, and Kansas City, Independence, and Lee's Summit, Missouri; and,
WHEREAS, upon the completion of his evaluation and review, the Director has recommended revisions to the salary ranges for all attorneys in the Offices of the County Counselor and Prosecuting Attorney; and,
WHEREAS, the revisions to the Prosecuting Attorney's ranges were accomplished via Ordinance 4840, dated April 25, 2016, and 4899, dated September 19, 2016; and
WHEREAS, the recommended revisions are in the best interests of the health, safety, and welfare of the citizens of Jackson County; now therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, as follows:
Section A. Enacting Clause. Schedule II to Chapter 2, Jackson County, 1984, is hereby repealed, and one new schedule enacted in lieu thereof, to be known as Schedule II, to read as follows:
