Body
WHEREAS, Collin Dustin of Lee’s Summit, Missouri, has successfully completed all requirements to attain Scouting’s highest honor, the rank of Eagle Scout, and will be recognized at the Eagle Court of Honor on October 2, 2016; and,
WHEREAS, only approximately five percent of all Boy Scouts achieve the rank of Eagle Scout; and,
WHEREAS, earning the rank of Eagle Scout is an important milestone which carries special significance not only in Scouting, but also throughout a young man’s pursuit of higher education, business ventures, or community service; and,
WHEREAS, Collin earned his Eagle Scout badge on March 28, 2016; and,
WHEREAS, Collin has worked as a staff member for two summer sessions at the H. Roe Bartle Scout Reservation located in Osceola, Missouri; and,
WHEREAS, this year Collin was elevated to the rank Keeper of the Sacred Bundle in the Tribe of Mic-O-Say at H. Roe Bartle Scout Reservation; and,
WHEREAS, Collin enjoys several hobbies, including camping, drawing, target shooting, and music; and,
WHEREAS, Collin has three siblings, Katie Dustin, Joy Goehring, and Cody Goehring; and,
WHEREAS, Collin's proud parents, Charles Dustin and Lynn Goehring, join in his celebration of this honor; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Legislature hereby congratulates Collin Dustin upon successfully completing all requirements to attain Scouting’s highest honor, the rank of Eagle Scout, and extends well-deserved recognition for his contributions to the Jackson County community.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
