Body
WHEREAS, the Director of Human Resources has undertaken a thorough review of certain job classifications for licensed attorneys-at-law in the Office of the Prosecuting Attorney; and,
WHEREAS, the Director has examined salaries in the corresponding legal offices in Johnson County, Kansas, St. Louis, and Greene Counties, Missouri, and the Cities of Overland Park, Kansas, and Kansas City, Independence, and Lee's Summit, Missouri; and,
WHEREAS, upon the completion of his evaluation and review, the Director has recommended revision to the salary ranges for attorneys in an effort to attract and retain talent for the Prosecuting Attorney's Office; and,
WHEREAS, the recommended revisions are in the best interests of the health, safety, and welfare of the citizens of Jackson County; now therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, as follows:
Section A. Enacting Clause. Schedule IV to Chapter 2, Jackson County Code, 1984, is hereby repealed, and one new schedule enacted in lieu thereof, to be known as Schedule IV, to read as follows:
