Body
WHEREAS, by Ordinance 4865, dated July 18, 2016, the Legislature authorized the acceptance of a grant in the amount of $5,000.00 from the Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Force (OCDETF) to conduct a joint federal drug investigation, OCDETF Case No. WC-MOW-306, Operation Squeaky Banjo, for the period of October 1, 2015, through September 30, 2016; and,
WHEREAS, the Jackson County Drug Task Force (JCDTF) has received additional funding for Operation Squeaky Banjo to cover overtime costs incurred by the JCDTF for this investigation, in an amount not to exceed $18,000.00; and,
WHEREAS, an appropriation is necessary to place the projected funds in the proper spending account; now therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following appropriation from the undesignated fund balance of the 2016 Anti-Drug Sales Tax Fund be and hereby is made:
