AN ORDINANCE transferring $71,420.00 within the 2016 Anti-Drug Sales Tax Fund and appropriating $71,420.00 from the fund balance of the 2016 Grant Fund to provide for grant match funds for the Prosecuting Attorney’s Office’s Victim Services Program.

Body
WHEREAS, by Ordinance 4759, dated August 3, 2015, the Legislature did authorize the acceptance of a grant in the amount of $117,516.66 from the Missouri Department of Public Safety for the Prosecuting Attorney Office’s Victim Service Program; and,
WHEREAS, the grant covers a twenty-four month period and requires local matching funds; and,
WHEREAS, Ordinance 4759 authorized the transfer of part of the matching funds in the amount of $70,890.15 for the first year of the grant; and,
WHEREAS, the Prosecuting Attorney’s recommends a transfer and appropriation to provide funds to complete the grant match for the final year of this grant; and,
WHEREAS, a transfer and appropriation are necessary in order to place the matching funds in the proper spending accounts; and,
WHEREAS, the County Executive recommends said transfer and appropriation; now therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following transfers and appropriation be and are hereby made:
