Body
WHEREAS, an order was placed in error to Maher Oil Company of Kansas City, Missouri, a previous term and supply vendor for the County, to fill the Parks + Rec Department gasoline tank at the Blue Springs Marina; and,
WHEREAS, Maher Oil has presented an invoice and demanded payment in the amount of $10,143.02; and,
WHEREAS, the County Counselor recommends that payment be made pursuant to section 1606.1(3) of the Jackson County Code, as the settlement of a claim; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Chief Financial Officer be and hereby is authorized issue a check to Maher Oil Company in the amount of $10,143.02, as settlement for this claim.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
