A RESOLUTION authorizing the County Executive to execute a License and Sponsorship Agreement with Bike Share KC d/b/a Kansas City B-Cycle of Kansas City, Missouri, for the furnishing of a solar bicycle rack and kiosk for bicycle rental at Longview Lake for use by the Parks + Rec Department, at an actual one-time cost to the County not to exceed $7,173.00.

Body
WHEREAS, the Parks + Rec Department desires to offer bicycle rental at Longview Lake Park through an agreement with Bike Share KC d/b/a Kansas City B-Cycle of Kansas City (Jackson County), Missouri; and,
WHEREAS, the attached License and Sponsorship Agreement sets out the rights and obligations of each party; and,
WHEREAS, execution of an agreement for the furnishing of these services is in the best interests of the health, safety, and welfare of the citizens of Jackson County; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the Legislature of Jackson County that the County Executive be and hereby is authorized to execute the attached License and Sponsorship Agreement with Bike Share KC of Kansas City, MO; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Finance and Purchasing be and hereby is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
