Body
WHEREAS, Arthur Banks, longtime mid-town Kansas City resident, started the Roanoke Park Sunday Volleyball Consortium ten years ago; and,
WHEREAS, people from all walks of life, and all levels of expertise, have been playing sand volleyball every Sunday, weather permitting, for ten years; and,
WHEREAS, one special autumn Sunday last year, Kathi Rocha joined in the Sunday volleyball festivities; and,
WHEREAS, Kathi and Arthur fell in love on the sand volleyball court; and,
WHEREAS, Kathi and Arthur will be wed on June 12, 2016, at the sand volleyball court in Roanoke Park; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Legislature hereby congratulates Arthur Banks and Kathi Rocha on the occasion of their wedding and extends its best wishes for a happy and prosperous union.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
