Body
WHEREAS, the Jackson County Drug Commission has recommended an agreement with KC Mothers in Charge for a violent crime prevention program; and,

WHEREAS, KC Mothers in Charge is a non-profit organization developed to act as a liaison between the community, crime victims and their family members, and local officials; and,

WHEREAS, a Cooperative Agreement with KC Mothers in Charge for a violent crime prevention program at a cost to the County in the amount of $20,900.00 is in the best interests of the health, safety, and welfare of the citizens of Jackson County; now therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive be and hereby is authorized to execute a Cooperative Agreement with KC Mothers in Charge for the furnishing of a violent crime prevention program, in the amount of $20,900.00, in a form to be approved by the County Counselor; and,

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Finance and Purchasing be and hereby is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the agreement.




Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
