Body
WHEREAS, WELD, based in Kansas City, Missouri, is the technology and manufacturing leader in the performance wheel market; and,

WHEREAS, WELD, founded in 1967, has been a pioneer in wheel engineering and design with precision and quality validated by amassing more professional race wins than any other wheel company; and,

WHEREAS, WELD celebrated the expansion of its manufacturing operations with a ribbon cutting and open house held May 19, 2016; and,

WHEREAS, WELD brand ambassadors who attended the event included National Hot Rod Association (NHRA) stars John Force, Erica Enders-Stevens, and Clay Millican, as well as World of Outlaws star Brian Brown, Grand National Cross Country rider Thomas Brown, and Formula Drift driver Justin Pawlak; and,

WHEREAS, the open house also featured an array of show vehicles that showcased the company's wheels from its leading brands including WELD Racing, WELD Street & Strip, CCW Forged Performance, REKON Off Road, and HiPer Technology by
WELD; and,

WHEREAS, Jackson Countians are pleased to welcome WELD, which moved its headquarters to Kansas City from Lawrence, Kansas, in February 2016; and,

WHEREAS, the company will continue to expand its operation, adding CCW Forged Performance to its Kansas City facility by December 31, 2016; and,

WHEREAS, WELD has more than 150,000 square feet of space that includes manufacturing, distribution, offices, and an in-house engineering and test lab to insure quality and uncompromised performance; now therefore,
