Body
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance and Purchasing has solicited bids for the furnishing of comprehensive medical, dental, and pharmaceutical services for use by the Department of Corrections; and,
WHEREAS, a total of thirteen notifications were distributed and two responses were received and evaluated as follows:

WHEREAS, an evaluation team made up of representatives from the Department of Corrections and Jackson County Health Department evaluated the bids on the basis of qualifications, experience, expertise, references, and pricing; and,
WHEREAS, following evaluation of the bids received, the Director of Finance and Purchasing recommends the award of a thirty-six month term and supply contract with two twelve-month options to extend for the furnishing of comprehensive medical, dental, and pharmaceutical services to Correct Care Solutions of Nashville, TN, for the reason that it has submitted the lowest and best bid, as set forth in the attached recapitulation and analysis; and,
WHEREAS, this award is made on an as needed basis and does not obligate Jackson County to pay any amount, with the availability of funds for specific purchases remaining subject to annual appropriation; and,
WHEREAS, a transfer is needed in order to place a portion of the funds needed to support these services in the proper spending account; and,
WHEREAS, the County Executive recommends this transfer; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following transfer within the 2016 Health Fund be and hereby is made:

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made as recommended by the Director of Finance and Purchasing, and that the Director be and hereby is authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the award; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Finance and Purchasing is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract, to the extent that sufficient funds have been appropriated to the using spending agency in the then current Jackson County budget.
