AN ORDINANCE amending the zoning districts established pursuant to the Unified Development Code by changing a certain 3.9 ± acre tract from District AG (Agricultural) to District RE (Residential Estates).

Body

 BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri as follows:

 

Section 1.  The Zoning Order of Jackson County, Missouri, and the official maps which are a part thereof, are amended by changing the boundaries of the "AG" (Agricultural) District and the "RE" (Residential Estates) District, so that there will be transferred from District AG to District RE, a tract of land commonly known as 29601 E. Easley Road, Lee’s Summit, MO, specifically described as follows:

 

Description:   All of the West 352.32 feet of the North half of the Northeast Quarter of the Southwest Quarter of Section 09, Township 47, Range 30, Jackson County, Missouri, lying South and West of the center line of Easley Road, subject to Right-of-Way and easements, except: Beginning at the Northwest corner of the Northeast Quarter of the Southwest Quarter Section 09, Township 47, Range 30, Jackson County, Missouri; thence South along the West line said Quarter Quarter 662.0 feet; thence East 1.45 feet; thence North 3.0 feet; thence East 24.85 feet; thence Northeasterly along a barb line fence 593.1 feet to a point 64.3 feet East of the West line of said Quarter Quarter; thence Northwesterly 72.0 feet to the North line said Quarter Quarter; thence West 38.5 feet to the point of beginning.

 

 

 

 

 

Section 2.  The Legislature, pursuant to the application of the Megan and Jeffrey Hatfield (RZ-2016-530), requesting the amendment embodied in this Ordinance and with notice that the Jackson County Plan Commission voted 9 to 0 to recommend APPROVAL of this application after a public hearing on January 21, 2016, does adopt this Ordinance pursuant to the Jackson County Charter authorizing the Legislature to exercise legislative power pertaining to planning and zoning.

 

Enacted and Approved

Effective Date:  This Ordinance shall be effective immediately upon its signature by the County Executive.
