Body
WHEREAS, Jerry Morain of Grain Valley, Missouri, has served as a member of the Grain Valley Volunteers in Police Service (VIPS) since 2010; and,
WHEREAS, Mr. Morain will be stepping down from his volunteer service this month due to serious health concerns; and,
WHEREAS, as a citizen volunteer, Mr. Morain has been a valuable asset to the City of Grain Valley and the Grain Valley Police Department; and,
WHEREAS, the citizens of Grain Valley and Jackson County are grateful for Mr. Morain’s service to the community and wish him well in the future; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Legislature hereby expresses its sincere gratitude to Jerry Morain for his service to the citizens of Grain Valley and Jackson County, Missouri.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
