Body
WHEREAS, the Public Works Department has a 2002 pickup truck, VIN number 1FTNF21F92EC96645, and a 1997 pickup truck, VIN number 1FDKF38F1VEB80810, that the Department is no longer using and has determined are obsolete; and,
WHEREAS, the Kansas City Zoo desires to utilize these vehicles and has requested the donation and transfer of the titles of this obsolete personal property; and,
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance and Purchasing recommends the transfer of titles of this unusable personal property, pursuant to section 1137.2 Jackson County Code, 1984; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, the 2002 pickup truck, and a 1997 pickup truck, identified above and further described and itemized in Exhibit A, be and hereby are declared surplus, and that the Director of Finance and Purchasing be and hereby is authorized to donate and transfer titles of this surplus property to the Kansas City Zoo, pursuant to chapter 11, Jackson County Code, 1984.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
