INTRODUCED BY Tony Miller, Dan Tarwater III, Crystal Williams, Frank White, Jr., Scott Burnett, Alfred Jordan, Dennis Waits, Greg Grounds, and Theresa Galvin, County Legislators
Body
WHEREAS, the Blue Springs South High School football team won the Class 6 Missouri State Championship, defeating Christian Brothers College High 37-28 in the State Championship Final held November 27, 2015, at the Edward Jones Dome in St. Louis, MO; and,
WHEREAS, the Jaguars were led in victory during its undefeated season by Head Coach Greg Oder; and,
WHEREAS, this is the third state title for the Jaguars, all won in the past ten seasons and all against Christian Brothers College High; and,
WHEREAS, the Jaguars also won state football titles in 2006 and 2011; and,
WHEREAS, the championship matchup featured four touchdowns by Blue Springs South senior Adam Cofield with senior quarterback Noah Nigro throwing for 195 yards and rushing for 62 yards; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Legislature congratulates the Blue Springs South High School football team on its outstanding showing and extends sincere best wishes for continued success of the team and its members and coaches in all future endeavors.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
