Body
WHEREAS, Kingsway Christian College and Theological Seminary of Missouri, Inc., d/b/a Faith Bible College is presenting ReMade, a faith-based, clinical treatment conference to be held November 20 - 21, 2015, at the Adams Mark Hotel In Kansas City, Missouri; and,
WHEREAS, Faith Bible College has submitted a request for sponsorship of this event in the amount of $1,500.00; and,
WHEREAS, this conference's goal is to dispel myth and stigma for people of faith seeking professional mental health and addiction services; and,
WHEREAS, this sponsorship will allow Jackson County the opportunity for regional recognition of its anti-drug and anti-violent crime initiatives; and,
WHEREAS, in exchange for its sponsorship, Jackson County will receive advertising and recognition in the event program, website, and social media; and,
WHEREAS, said sponsorship is in the best interests of the health, safety, and welfare of the citizens of Jackson County; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Director of Finance and Purchasing be and hereby is authorized to issue a check to Faith Bible College, in the amount of $1,500.00 for sponsorship of the ReMade conference.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
