WHEREAS, the Jackson County Drug Commission has recommended an agreement with Camp Fire, for its Camp Fire Heartland’s Teens in Action program, at a cost to the County not to exceed $7,184.00; and,

WHEREAS, Teens in Action is a youth-led and youth-driven program that guides teens through impactful community service and leadership experiences to help them develop as effective and engaged citizens; and,
WHEREAS, a Cooperative Agreement with Camp Fire for the furnishing of this program is in the best interests of the health, safety, and welfare of the citizens of Jackson County; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive be and hereby is authorized to execute a Cooperative Agreement with Camp Fire, for the furnishing of the Teens in Action program, in the amount of $7,184.00, in a form to be approved by the County Counselor; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Finance and Purchasing be and hereby is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the agreement.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
