Body
WHEREAS, the County has received a funding request from the South Kansas City Alliance to provide partial funding for the Economic Development Summit "Preparing Our Future Leaders" to be held at Avila University on October 3, 2015, at a cost not to exceed $3,000.00; and,
WHEREAS, the Economic Development Summit will promote positive economic growth through support of investment and development projects in the south Kansas City area; and,
WHEREAS, the execution of a Cooperative Agreement with South Kansas City Alliance for partial funding of the Economic Development Summit is in the best interests of the health, welfare, and safety of the citizens of Jackson County; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive be and hereby is authorized to execute a Cooperative Agreement with South Kansas City Alliance, in an amount not to exceed $3,000.00, in a form to be approved by the County Counselor; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Finance and Purchasing be and hereby is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the agreement.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
